You are the gull, Jo, strong and wild, fond of the storm and the wind,
flying far out to sea, and happy all alone.

I have loved words and images and Jesus for as long as I can remember. Colors, textures, the poetry of the whole world catches hold of me and takes my breath away - the softness of the last sunlight as it touches a wispy cloud, the hard lines of long shadows in the morning, the cadence of a few well-chosen words and a beautiful thought. The Creator of all this is must be gorgeous beyond comprehension. His is the Truth that guides my entire life, and His is the Story I could never tire of reading.
I'm a Bible student, a writer, a photographer, a thinker, an adventurer, a nonstop learner. My mind is a delightful chaos of new ideas, vibrant colors, and pretty words, which somehow all work together to help me process my hardest questions and express my inmost thoughts.
If I could accomplish just one thing with this life I’ve been given, I would empower the people of the Church to rest in the truth of who God is and what He has done. I’d do it by helping them to develop the kind of rich personal study of the Word that yields true knowledge of His character and intimacy with His heart - because if I know anything about the Scriptures at all, it’s that they tell the glorious story of who God is, and it’s who God is that changes everything for you and me.
